^^This is Ashley. She’s the Director of Marketing at Name.com and overall, a pretty decent human being. But there’s a problem: Ashley has recently become acquainted with the art of haikus, and is now a little addicted.
While it’s wonderful that Ashley is embracing a new creative outlet, we’re a little concerned that it’s becoming a problem.
She’s even sending them during her off-time hours.
We tried to ignore it, but it quickly become clear that that was not an option.
We tried to respond in kind, hoping it would deter her.
But it only seemed to spur her on.
Now our emails have taken on haiku form. Soon, we may be having our conversations in syllabic groups of five-seven-five
Or maybe we should just embrace it and call it a day.
